Our mission at ChairWear is to represent the courageous athletes of the world who have overcome more in their lives than the average person could ever imagine. It represents those who experience life changing injuries, or are born with some sort of disadvantage, yet still have a competitive sprit and the ability to challenge life regardless of their disadvantages. The term Handicapped or Disabled are words that the public associate with people who can't do anything for themselves let alone play a competitive sport. This is why some of the most amazing athletes of the world have not been respected, represented or even acknowledged by the general public. Sports are a part of society today. All over the world athletes' names and pictures are attached to multiple products as endorsements. Athletes are role models and there is no reason why the disadvantaged athletes of the world can't be role models too. ChairWear will be producing adaptive athletic apparel for multiple sports to educate the public, publicize adaptive sports, generate a sense of pride for the athletes, and show just how talented these athletes are in the virtually unknown arena of competitive adaptive sports.
